Piano Recital: Mishka Rushdie Momen

In January, Bilbao House Concerts and the Guggenheim Museum will welcome British pianist Mishka Rushdie Momen, hailed as one of the most thoughtful and sensitive pianists today. Rushdie Momen has performed at Wigmore Hall, Carnegie Hall, Lucerne Festival, Philadelphia Chamber Music Society, Tonhalle Zürich, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Phillips Collection in Washington DC, and many other venues and festivals around the world.

The concert will be introduced by musicologist Patricia Sojo, who will analyze the relationship between the work of Marine Hugonnier–an artist dealing with landscapes whose work is currently on display at the Museum’s Film & Video Gallery–and the works selected to be performed by Mishka Rushdie Momen, whose sounds are inspired by the beauty of nature. Afterwards, there will be an encounter with the British pianist.
